So me and Steve from the Vags went round the club 10 tonight for a bit of practice, and did the course in 32:30. Afterwards, neither of us felt too tired.
The problem is I still don’t know how to pace myself properly because whilst I was out there I felt like I was going pretty hard, but when I finished, I wasn’t tired. I would expect to be completely shattered!
Still, this is only the build up to the first of hopefully many time trials in the future - so no pressure to get everything perfect first time! I am looking forward to the race though!
Having the grand total of one 10 under my belt, I know exactly how you feel. I am told it takes practice and training before you can completely knacker yourself.
If you guys can do a time like that, perhaps one of you will push me round the course!!!
I’ve got a feeling I’m going to drop a clanger and do it in 35 minutes!
Even if you do it in 50 minutes it is an acheivement and a darn sight more than a lot could do it in…. Always rememeber there are so many who talk the talk but won’t ride a TT especially up in the north east as they may not get a fast time. The prove is in the the 30 riders who race on a sunday morning up and down the spine road and the 120 riders who race down in yorkshire.
Thanks, Andy! Whatever happens it will be a PB!
