Weight loss update: 16 stone 11.7

One of the things that a lot of people have been saying recently is this,

“How come you haven’t posted any weight loss updates recently?”

Well there’s really only one answer to that. I’ve not lost anything. Since getting back from Florida, I struggled to get myself down to my pre-Florida weight (mmm… donuts) and once there, I’ve bounced around the 17 stone mark - dipping under, going over, etc.

A sustained week of cycling and good eating has seen results, 2lbs off. On Saturday I rode 62 miles, Tuesday I rode a brisk (70% race capacity) 14 miles, Wednesday morning I rode 10 miles from Elsdon to the office at Rothbury (over Bilsmoor) and last night I went to the Vag’s training riding 20 miles to get there and back (not that I should take that into account for this weight loss).

Today is a rest day, tomorrow I will do the slower Saturday ride, and Sunday is the Great North Bike Ride. Let’s build on this and move forward, shall we?

On your ride to the office do you go through Hepple or take in those nasty little climbs up to Great Tosson?

It’s a lovely ride along there. If you are feeling good try the little triangle via Great Tosson.

  3. Well Done!!! Lets see what you can do over the next week?

Indeed! I just hope Suzy’s birthday today hasn’t spoiled all my hard work!

    HI James ,
I thought you looked well fit at training on Thursday ,
I would say look at your body shape more than your weight
you are putting on muscle as well as losing weightt
In the time I have known you ,you have improved more than any other Vag.
    A privalage ,
    Danny

Thanks, Danny! I hope there’s more to come though… I’ll be disappointed if this is the extent of it!

Lovin your consistency mate keep her lit!

  8. Peter Martin says:

Sorry I should explain - consistency = hanging around the same weight and remaining in control and still training. I’ve managed to put a stone on with my hols etc. Plan to restart tomorrow…
