I agree on a healthy diet. As it has been pointed out recently drinks et al are supplements not replacements. At the end of strenuous exercise the recommendation is a carb:protein of 4:1 within 20 minutes. How is that achieved just with diet?

BCAA are usually found in protein rich foods. Most of what I've been discussing in this post have been the carbohydrate aspect of foods - so you'd have your protein (such as fish or chicken) and then your carbohydrate in the form of wholemeal pasta or brown rice (or if you're not listening to me, white pasta, white rice and potatoes).

BCAA can be found in whey protein and other supplements, but I strongly advocate getting all your nutrition requirements from a good healthy diet rather than filling yourself with powdered drinks and pills but that's just me.
