Last year I managed to raise a £365.00 for The Chris Lucas Trust for childhood cancer by riding the Great North Bike Ride, and will of course be taking part in this event again to raise more money them.
However, I feel I could do more. So, based on that, my charity for all other events in 2010 will be the Laura Dodds fund. Laura Dodds died from bone cancer at the age of 19 in October 2000. 2010 will mark the 10th anniversary since her death, so Laura’s family and freinds have decided to raise £10,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust and Clic Sargent. Cancer touches us all at some point - and for anyone’s life to be taken by cancer is a tragedy, even more so as a child or teen.
I have no details on what I will be doing as yet, but more details will be released on here and on my Facebook page when I know myself. Needless to say it will be enough of a challenge for you to be getting your Paypal passwords at the ready.
