Burls Titanium Bike - currently being used as the Winter / Turbo bike
When I first started cycling, I needed something that would withstand my weight but be useful for years to come after I had lost my weight, so there was really only one frame material worth considering - titanium. I looked around at several manufacturers including Van Nicholas, Sabbath and Enigma, but Justin’s lengthy replies, in-depth knowledge and helpfulness won me over. The end result is I have a truly stunning bike frame, which receives admiring looks on every club ride. As I lose weight and gain in competence, I will hang lighter and better components on the frame and it is sure to last me for years. I would recommend Justin to anyone looking for something a little bit different.

Based in Harwich, Essex, Justin has a background in engineering and fabrication, including building and restoring lightweight sports cars. His first build was a time trial bike for his own personal use. He has designed and built his own jig, and now builds lightweight steel frames of the highest order by hand, whilst outsourcing the building of his titanium frames to a reputable Russian titanium craftsmen.
